A real life Documentary film titled “BOBI WINE THE PEOPLE’S PRESIDENT” which was produced by exiled Ugandan journalist Moses Bwayo and Christopher Sharp has won a couple of accolades.

The film has won an International Competition Audience Prize and Bronze Goal for Best Film on Human Rights in the concluded Millennium Documentary Film Festival in Belgium.

The musician turned political icon has survived a series of beatings and assassination attempts amid his zeal for the struggle to liberate Ugandans, who have endured a close to 4 decade dictatorship of depost Yoweri Museveni.

Wine, 41, shone a spotlight on gross rights abuses in his home country and garnered international attention with several multinational human rights agencies crediting him for speaking out boldly against injustices.

In the film, all the atrocities and horror by Ugandan security forces is well captured.
