Bobi Wine prays for political prisoners in Eid Adha message to Muslims

The president H.E Kyagulanyi Ssentamu Robert alias Bobi Wine has joined the rest of the world to convey his message of hope to the Muslim faithful as Eid al Adha is observed.

The president who is still outside the country on official duties used his social media platforms to convey his Eid message. In his message, he expressee his thoughts and sympathy with the plight of political prisoners who continue to languish in prison on trumped charges levied by the Islamophobic Museveni regime.

“Wishing you all our Muslim brothers and sisters a happy Eid-ul-Adha. May Allah accept your sacrifices and prayers. May He also comfort and bring justice to our colleagues who are observing this Eid from prison,” Bobi wrote.

The day comes at a time when several Muslims are facing persecution by the Ugandan regime which accuses them with treason and terrorism charges among others.

Sheikh Yunus Kamoga, the head of the Tabliq sect was the latest victim of the Islamophobic tendencies of the Ugandan state after security operatives raided his Kawempe residence and thumped all the occupants who were found there at the time of the operation. The heinous brutality was captured on CCTV surveillance and sparked an outrage from the public.
