“Kagabo is suffering from mental disorder,”~Mufumbiro

The Deputy Spokesperson of the opposition National Unity Platform party Alex Waiswa Mufumbiro has fired back at rebellious controversial Bukoto Central MP Dr. Twaha Kagabo who denounced the party on whose ticket he was propelled to parliament.

Kagabo who was at an MK organized function in Lwengo district denounced NUP stating that he was elected as a representative of all individuals and not specifically NUP.

“I don’t represent NUP but rather the people of Lwengo district. I don’t agree with NUP approach of radicalism and insults. I am a trained doctor who can’t stoop that low to that level of abusing people like how NUP does,” he said as media inquired why he flanked Muhoozi Kainerugaba rallies. “I have seen light in the MK faction. In fact in 2026 I will not run under NUP ticket but as an independent. I will join the MK Movement and support Muhoozi Kainerugaba for Presidency,” he vowed.

Reacting on the matter for the very first time, am infuriated Waiswa said he is not shocked that Kagabo had to make such statements.

“He has left a class of intelligence to go and join the league of the dull where he falls. I am not surprised to see him migrate from one place to another. You cannot claim to be NUP when you behave like Kagabo. We don’t have time for such people,” Waiswa said. “He is free to go where he fits. It is his right. He is even suffering from mental illness and this is a condition he knows as a medical doctor,” Waiswa added.
