The former Member of Parliament for Busongora South Constituency in Kasese district, Hon. Jackson Mbaju Kathika, has urged the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) to stop undermining the National Unity Platform (NUP).

Kathika made the remarks over the weekend shortly after receiving Ms. Velina Masika, the Vice Chairperson of FDC Kyambogho Parish in Nyakabingo Sub-County, who defected to the National Unity Platform.

He expressed disappointment in the comments made by FDC president Eng. Patrick Oboi Amuriat recently in Busongora North, where he referred to Kathika as a political maneuver.
Ms. Velina Masika stated that her decision to join NUP was due to unfulfilled pledges.

Mr. Brian Basisa, the NUP coordinator in Kasese District, called for more recruitment of members into NUP and emphasized the need for collaborative efforts among NUP members in Kasese District.
