Member of Parliament for Kira Municipality Hon. Ibrahim Ssemujju Nganda has expressed concern with the venue for Thursday’s plenary at which president Museveni is expected to address parliament.Ssemujju said Tuesday afternoon that it is unfair for legislators to move to Kololo independence grounds to listen to president Museveni.

The Kira Municipality legislator said Parliament purchased a big tent to address the concern of the small venue at Parliament and he sees no reason why they should move to Kololo.

Ssemujju claimed that legislators will be harassed by president Museveni’s security and further stated that Kololo is Museveni’s compound.
The legislator advised speaker Anita Among to request president Museveni to come to parliament saying that he has no powers to summon parliament at Kololo.

In her response, speaker Anita Among said it was her decision to host the Thursday plenary at Kololo independence grounds since the venue is bigger and she expects more than 500 legislators to turn up.

Among dismissed claims that Kololo is president Museveni’s compound, and stated that he only owns state house.
President Museveni is expected to address Parliament this Thursday on matters of national importance. Legislators will be hosted at Kololo from where they will listen to the president.
