Minister Baryomunsi cautions NUP supporters against celebrating deaths of Govt officials
The Minister of Information and National Guidance Dr. Chris Baryomunsi has sternly warned opposition supporters who have abused and misused social spaces to trade hate against serving government officials.
Baryomunsi who spoke at the World Press Freedom day celebrations held in Kampala specifically cited the ongoing social media celebrations where majority Ugandans are expressing solidarity with the errant UPDF soldier Pte. Wilson Sabiiti who gunned down the state Minister for labour Hon. Charles Okello Engola.
According to Baryomunsi, Government is considering coming up with more strict measures to enforce the Computer Misuse Act 2022 which was passed by parliament last year.
Baryomunsi says cyber bullies will be arrested and charged in the courts of law.
