Former senior presidential press secretary Joseph Tamale Mirundi has appealed to Gen. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni to invoke his constitutional powers and make urgent changes at parliament that would see the speaker Anita Among stripped of her position. In the same breath, he guided Museveni to make immediate changes within cabinet and drop Robinah Nabbanja as the Prime Minister.

Mirundi furiously spoke on the airwaves of Beat FM where he was hosted on Wednesday morning to cast light on the impending Karamoja iron sheets debate.

According to Mirundi, Museveni should now take action on some of his errant government officials who have continously caused suffering of Ugandan taxpayers.

“A monkey cannot be used to judge a case involving a forest,” Mirundi said. “If I was president Museveni, I would impeach the speaker Anita Among first and then sack this lousy Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja,” Mirundi ranted.

The presidential affairs committee in parliament is still investigating the Karamoja iron sheets bonanza and will soon issue a report of their findings. Museveni is also reportedly conducting his own parallel investigations using the state house anti-corruption unit, and the internal security organization spies.
