Ms. Justine Nakajumba who spoke to media this morning says her son is recovering from trauma and prefers to keep his privacy at the moment as he tries to recollect himself.

“My doctor advised me not to speak about these issues (Mr. Ssegirinya’s release) for health reasons but what I can assure you, Ssegirinya was released and he is in good condition,” she said. “If he is not well, I would still tell the public as I have always done, he is not here with me but he is safe and he is being taken care of to ensure that he recovers from the prison trauma,” she added.

Meanwhile, the lawyers and family members of Makindye West MP Allan Ssewanyana are tirelessly engaging court to see if they can recover his passport to facilitate his travel arrangements abroad for medical attention. The MP is admitted at a local hospital where he is receiving treatment at the moment.
