Kiira municipality lawmaker Ibrahim Ssemujju Nganda has called on parliament to take action on the Ministers whose names featured in the theft of the Karamoja iron sheets.

According to Ssemujju, parliament should interest itself in the matter and serve justice to the anxiously waiting public. He says his constituents are already asking him how far the matter to apprehend ministers has gone.

“The request from my constituency is that we must now decisively deal with the issue of iron sheets. We get the ministers who shared the iron sheets and we treat them like we have treated other suspects before,” he said.

“The request from Kira is that they should not be coming to Parliament. They should be taken to Luzira and Kitalya prisons.”~ Hon. Ssemujju added.

The Karamoja iron sheets saga has hit a stalemate following the passage of the anti-homosexuality bill which has overshadowed the events in the media.

Gen. Museveni publicly avoided to comment on one of the most high profile thieving scandal in his government. His Prime Minister Rt. Hon. Robinah Nabbanja, H.E Vice President Jessica Alupo, the speaker Anita Among are among the high profile government officials implicated in the Karamoja iron sheets scandal.
