MP Zaake wife disputes ‘divorce’ reports

Ms. Nnamirembe Bridget Zaake, the wife to NUP party Youth Winger and Mityana Municipality MP Zaake Francis Butebi has disassociated herself from reports that she had divorced her husband.

Over the weekend, ‘The Grapevine’ a Red Pepper leaning tabloid funded and run by state propagandist Arinaitwe Rugyendo ran a screaming headlind that the marriage of the NUP strongman is in tatters.

Entitled “Inside Story: Has Bobi Wine’s wife Barbie Failed to save legislator Zaake’s marriage? Newly wedded wife Bridget Allegedly abandons kids for Kyeyo”, the report alleges that Zaake’s wife fled the country for Canada after falling out with her husband.

The Rugyendo fictional report adds that Zaake had relied on efforts by NUP first lady Barbie Ithungo to save his marriage from shrinking.

However, in an Idd late night social media post on her known Facebook page, Bridget Nnamirembe Zaake dispelled the rumours as mere speculative propaganda orchestrated by ‘lazy arm chair journalists’ who thrive on fiction and unverified reports in a bid to garner traffic on their tabloids and sites.

“Me and my hubby laughing at speculative/sensational arm chair lazy journalists who thrive on fiction. By my matrimonial vows I shall always stick. You are for ever my man in all seasons. I love you now and forevermore MP Zaake Francis Butebi ,” she wrote.

MP Zaake and his wife Bridget exchanged vows last year in a historical wedding held in Mityana District. The pair have children who they are happily raising as parents.
