Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba has arrived in Kigezi region where he will grace the Rukundo Egumeho function.

The function is meant to commemorate two years since the reopening of the Uganda Rwandan Border that had been closed more than five years ago.

The closure was a result of an impasse between the two East African Countries, Uganda and Rwanda. Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba brokered a deal to have the border reopened.

Now, the UPDF four star General organized a function together with contemporaries to celebrate the two years of border reopening. The function coincides with the celebrations of Gen. Muhoozi’s birthday.

The General has since last year been celebrating his birthday with calls for ascension to Presidency in 2026 when the country goes into elections again.
However, only a handful of supporters joined Gen Kainerugaba as he entered Kabale town for the celebrations.

However more supporters joined the drive as the General reached further towns in Kigezi region.

The General is expected to grace a function tomorrow, thanking God for the reopening of the Rwanda – Ugandan border in Katuna.

More than 25 artists from both Uganda and Rwanda will grace the function.
