Museveni Minister unroofs church to return stolen iron sheets

The State Minister for Defence Hon. Jacob Oboth Oboth has unroofed several Churches in his constituency and returned about 178 used iron sheets which are 222 less than the pieces he illegally looted.

The Minister delegated his assistants to return the consignment of iron sheets which remain unreceived by the officials at the Office of the Prime Minister store keepers.

The store managers have declined to receive iron sheets from Minister Jacob Oboth Oboth and the NRM party chief whip Hamson Obua. The basis of the rejection is said to be technical and administrative as detectives from the CID have not showed up today to assess the quality and document the amount of the pieces returned.

Minister Oboth has vowed to sue Karamoja Affairs Minister Dr. Mary Goretti Kitutu for giving him stolen iron sheets.

Meanwhile the Kololo anti-corruption court today declined to take a plea from junior Karamoja Minister Agnes Nanduttu and committed her to High Court after state prosecution said investigations into her case are complete.

“I have instructions from the DPP to have the suspect committed to the High Court for trial. The committal papers are before you my lord,” a state prosecutor said.

Nanduttu protested her commital saying the lower court too had jurisdiction over her matter.
