Museveni welcomed by empty streets on Masaka tour

It was a third day of shame as Gen. Yoweri Museveni embarked on his Masaka tour as he aims at recovering the lost love in Buganda region.

Prior to the greater Masaka tour, the old man from Rwakitura had been briefed by his intelligence experts that the popularity of NUP in the region had shrinked and therefore time was ripe for the NRM to bank on those loopholes and tap into this opposition epicenter.

On the maiden day, the visit which came after the fall of Katonga, saw Museveni ushered by a ghost town with all main streets empty.

Sources say, an embarassed Museveni inquired from his aides to explain why the town appeared to be deserted. He was however informed that the extremely religious locals had embarked on the pilmigrage to Namugongo which justified why the largely Catholic town was ghost on Museveni’s arrival.

The NRM party secretariat back in Kampala with guidance from Rosemary Namayanja embarked on their ritualistic ferrying of people. Yellow buses were spotted around Masaka streets rallying people to attend Museveni’s rally for a fee of UGX 10,000 that was issued as transport refund.

Frank Gashumba, a born of Masaka was seen convincing the people to embrace Museveni’s rally if they want to reap from the Parish Development Model.

In fact, on the maiden day when Museveni held the microphone to address his rented crowd, he began by blaming NUP for the collapse of Katonga bridge.
