The National Unity Platform party blogger Kasirye Ashraf Miracle who skipped death in Masaka during the heated 2021 polls has finally bagged a degree in Arts in Arts at the ongoing 73rd graduation ceremony at Makerere University.

In December 2021, Kasirye was one of the vibrant bloggers who covered the presidential campaign of NUP party presidential nominee Kyagulanyi Ssentamu Robert aka Bobi Wine.

On the fateful day of December 26th, 2021, Kasirye nearly lost his life to a teargas canister that was fired by then Masaka Regional Police Commander Abaine Enock.

His skull was severely damaged by the canister and he lost too much blood at the time. He was rushed to Rubaga hospital where doctors worked hard to save him from suffering memory loss. On that very day, Frank Ssenteza, a bodyguard to NUP president was also killed in a hit and run accident by a military vehicle in Busega.
