Buganda Road Court has dismissed trumped charges levied on NUP blogger Bashir Kasagga alias Motiv Kasagga.

The blogger has been grappling with computer misuse charges after his abduction last year in September. He was fetched by intelligence officers from the Chieftaincy of Military Intelligence-CMI who accused him with modifying tweets of government officials and agencies.

The blogger in a Wednesday tweet announced his next move to reach out to authorities at CID headquarters in Kibuli to retrieve his communication gadgets that were confiscated from him at the time of his abduction.

The Buganda Road Court has officially relieved me of the bogus charges pressed on me by CMI last year.

I’m thankful to my legal team led by Counsel @ShamimMalende, Counsel @jkeeyamwanje, my party @NUP_Ug and the President @HEBobiwine. Freedom indeed comes to those who speak truth to power. It’s only through speaking that we shall be heard.

We should never back down from advocating for a better Uganda regardless of the threats and intimidation we encounter. Let’s remain firm. We will always accomplish. ✊

I now cast send out my stern warning to the CID brutes who confiscated my devices. Prepare them in advance coz I’m coming for them.
