Hon. Kyagulanyi Ssentamu Robert aka Bobi Wine, the party president of the opposition National Unity Platform party has challenged the UPDF spokesperson Brig. Gen. Felix Kulayigye to apprehend him now that he has substantial evidence indicating that he ordered the torture of Boda Boda rider Eric Mwesigwa.

Bobi, who is this Saturday morning speaking on the airwaves of Buganda Kingdom owned Television station BBS Terefayina mocked Kulayigye for concocting stories with an aim of covering up for the repressive regime he serves

“Now that Mr. Kulayigye said we (NUP) are behind the abductions and torture of our supporters, I dare him to come and arrest me,” Bobi courageously said.

On the predicament of the freed NUP lawmakers Allan Ssewanyana of Makindye West and Muhammad Ssegirinya of Kawempe North, Bobi said Museveni used the duo as scapegoats to cast a message that even dissenting political leaders are vulnerable to persecution.

“We understand that dictator Museveni was using the two MPs Allan Ssewanyana and Muhammad Ssegirinya as symbols of fear for other politicians who would have risen and challenged this regime,” he said.

Bobi Wine has featured at BBS for the very first time on the 2023 calendar. His visit comes in the very week when his first lady was hosted on these very studios to anchor at the kingdom radio broadcaster CBS FM.
