NUP likens Kulayigye to Amin’s Maliyamungu
The National Unity Platform party has laughed at the conctions orchestrated by the UPDF spokesperson Brig. Gen. Felix Kulayigye, a day after he paraded Mr. Eric Mwesigwa, a Boda rider previously allegedly abducted by the Chieftaincy of Military Intelligence-CMI.
According to NUP leaders, Brig. Kulayigye, an ardent believer in the Born Again faith underscored yesterday when he lured a torture victim into confessing something contrary to the reality of what had actually happened to him.
“The shameless, criminal regime at it again! Same old tricks. Same ridiculousness. Mwesigwa Eric has been complaining of being trailed ever since he spoke about his torture. Today, from an army barracks, they parade him to claim it’s NUP that tortured him! What a bunch of thugs!,” President Bobi Wine tweeted.
“This is Felix Kulayigye, the UPDF Spokesperson who thought he would hoodwink Ugandans by parading a torture victim whom he had coached. Unfortunately for him, he wasn’t smart in his game-plan. It is sad when grown up men engage in amateurish schemes.
Shame on you Kulayigye!,” the party spokesperson Joel Ssenyonyi also tweeted.
The party in its official tweet also likened Brig. Kulayigye to Idi Amin’s terror machine Maliyamungu, a then head of the State Research Bureau, a force that terrorized Ugandans suspected of opposing the Amin regime.
