NUP President visits Gomba school ravaged by accident
National Unity Platform party president Kyagulanyi Ssentamu Robert alias Bobi Wine has visited Kasaka Secondary School which a fortnight ago was ravaged by a tragic accident that left about 4 students dead, and scored injured.
The accident occured on March 15 at around 3:30pm as students were back from the lunch break. A Sinotruck driver aged 26, lost control and veered into the school computer laboratory and killed three students on the spot.
20 other students were critically injured and immediately rushed to the nearby medical facilities.
Bobi, a born of Gomba district has opted to extend his solidarity and thoughts to the students and teachers of this school.
At his visit, the NUP leader urged the students to remain firm and prayerful to God who enabled them to survive that tragedy. He prayed for the deceased students who perished in the deadly accident, and as well extended his prayers to the injured.
His visit comes after president Museveni directed the State House welfare unit to give UGX 5m to each of the families of the deceased students of Kasaka S.S and UGX 1m to each of the families of the injured students. Museveni also ordered the construction company to compensate the affected families.
