Relatives of Mr. Harunah, a National Unity Platform party supporter reportedly abducted by a Chieftaincy of Military Intelligence-CMI drone on April 14th are plunged in distress.

They say their agony is hinged on the enforced disappearance of their child who was picked up by armed operatives in a drone that allegedly abducted him from Namasuba.

Eye witnesses say, Harunah was picked by callous gunmen who beat him with gun butts like a terrorist before they bundled him in a drone.

“That young man was abducted on April 14th on suspicions that he was to participate in the May 8th protests organized by NUP,” an eye witness says. “Harunah has been known to be a NUP mobilizer for Kunga in Namasuba, Makindye division,” the witness adds.

Another person who identifies himself as a brother to Harunah told this website that their son may be held at CMI Mbuya barracks where several other NUP supporters are detained after abduction.

“We have cross checked with all police posts and statione but we’ve not got any credible information concerning the abduction. All policemen deny holding him in their cells. But we know he must be with CMI which is well known for abductions,” the brother to Harunah said.

The drone abductions have been revived by security agencies to instill fear within NUP supporters. Just yesterday night, Swabrah Kiganda was dumped by a CMI drone at SIU Kireka where she was charged with terrorism and given a police bond after spending 4 days illegally in detention at a safe house in Mbuya.
