Geoffrey Ongima, a Bobi Wine bodyguard largely known by the moniker ‘High tower’ has obtained bail from court this morning.

Ongima who was violently abducted a few weeks back from Nansana and secretly sneaked into court and remanded has finally been granted a cash bail of 500,000shs.

The state preferred charges of assault on Mr. Ongima in relation to the melee that was witnessed at the burial of Jakana Nadduli in Nakaseke District last year.

State prosecution alleged that Ongima and others at large inflicted bodily harm on NRM party activist Ivan Kanuntu Majambere during a disagreement at the burial of Jakana.

Ongima had since sought refuge in neighboring Kenya where he lived for several months having been on the radar of Ugandan security operatives who trailed him for some good time.
