NUP supporters abducted day after Janan Luwum prayers still missing
The abduction of NUP supporters Kagimu Fred and Ssebunya Yasin that occurred in Kiwoko Town Council, Nakaseke District remains the latest record of the illegality to be documented.
On Thursday as the country marked the Janani Luwum day, gun-wielding men in civilian attire raided their homes at about 02:00 AM and violently took them away in the dreaded ‘Drone’ van. The abductees are said to be aides to the area NUP lawmaker Allan Mayanja Sebunya.
Efforts to trace them are still underway with the police and sister security forces hesitant to comment on the raid.
NUP leader Bobi Wine in a tweet statement condemned the raid and said “Soon, this abuse of power and disregard for human rights will be history!”
