NUP wraps up women’s day retreat

The National Unity Platform party yesterday concluded the two day retreat in which women leaders had convened to discuss their ambitions and prospects in regards to nation building and adding weight on the democratization of Uganda.

The retreat saw dignfied leaders like the first lady Barbie Ithungo Kyagulanyi and Kassanda District woman MP Hon. Flavia Kalule Nabagabe share a word with the convenants.

The duo appealed to the women to remain optimistic and vigilant in their own ambitions. They tasked them to set in place hard challenges to their male counterparts.

The party in a statement applauded the attendants and facilitators of the event;

Today (Tuesday) marked the conclusion of a two-day leadership retreat for the NUP Women’s League, with support from the FNF ( Friedrich Naumann Foundation Africa).

The retreat aimed at enhancing the leadership skills of women leaders within the league. Women leaders from different levels, mobilizers, and stakeholders from various regions of the county participated in this retreat.

During the retreat, participants had the opportunity to share their leadership experiences and were able to learn from one another, exchange ideas, and gain insights into effective leadership practices.

Overall, the retreat provided a platform for women leaders within the NUP Women’s League to connect, learn, and grow. The support from the FNF highlights the commitment to promoting women’s leadership and empowerment.
