As we all prepare for Easter celebrations with our families and friends, let us not forget about the dark cloud that hangs over us with the disappearance of one of our own. Mugumya Gaddafi, a young man who was full of promise and potential, an outspoken son of this land, a very solid comrade who was violently abducted from Nakuwadde – his home area by armed men who used the infamous Numberless drone.

It has been over a month since he was brutally abducted and his whereabouts remain unknown despite tireless efforts by his family friends and NUP legal team. The thought of what he might be going through right now is simply heart-wrenching.

Mugumya Gaddafi was an innocent young man whose only crime was his political affiliation. He was a passionate supporter of the National Unity Platform (NUP) and had the courage to speak out against the injustices and oppression that he saw in his community and Uganda at large. For this, he was brutally abducted in the most brutal manner imaginable, leaving his family and friends in a state of utter despair.

The pain and suffering that Mugumya Gaddafi’s family and loved ones must be going through cannot be overstated. Their lives have been turned upside down, and they are left with nothing but unanswered questions and a deep sense of loss. It is time for us to come together as concerned patriots and demand justice for Mugumya Gaddafi. Imagine since 1st March????????.

We cannot let this kind of brutality continue in our society. The government of Uganda has a responsibility to its citizens to protect them from harm and to ensure that justice is served when they are victimized. It’s worry when they again turn and do the total opposite. Mugumya Gaddafi’s abduction is a clear violation of his human rights, and we must stand up and demand that those responsible for this heinous act are held accountable.

We must also recognize that Mugumya Gaddafi’s abduction is not an isolated incident. There have been countless other cases of innocent Ugandans being abducted and tortured simply for speaking out against the government or supporting a different political party particularly NUP/People power. This must stop. We must demand an end to the violence and oppression faced by our fellow citizens.

To the government of Uganda, we say this: Mugumya Gaddafi is a citizen of this country, a taxpayer, and a human being. His disappearance demands an urgent and thorough investigation. We will not rest until he is found and justice is served. The use of a drone to carry out such a violent act is a clear indication that this was a premeditated and calculated attack. Those responsible for this must be brought to justice.

I call upon my fellow comrades in this struggle, let us all come together in solidarity to demand justice for Mugumya Gaddafi. We cannot allow the abduction and torture of innocent Ugandans to become the norm in our Country. We have the numbers, we have the potential, and age is on our side, We must stand up and fight for our God given rights and rights of our fellow comrades. Let us make sure that the government of Uganda hears our voices loud and clear. Where is Mugumya Gaddafi? We demand answers, and we will not rest until justice is served.
