Serere goes to polls amidst tight security
Serere locals have this morning queued to cast their votes in the ongoing by-election.
The voter turn up is so far moderate with some members abandoning their daily errands to embrace the visiting.
What is so far seen on ground is the unusual deployment of Military, UPDF and Uganda Police Force.
Some ANT coordinators have reported threats and intimidation by the Serere district RDC who is said to be leading a voter malpractice drive.
The voting shall end at 4pm and tallying will occur instantly. At all polling stations, the major contest is between ANT’s Alice Alaso and NRM’s Philip Oucor.
