A delegation from the office of the Speaker of Parliament is still stranded at the Namanve based stores of the Office of the Prime Minister after officials have declined to receive 500 pieces of iron sheets procured by Ms. Anita Annet Among.

The 500 pieces each valued at UGX 71,000 have all been bought at 35,500,000 Uganda shillings.

The speaker Among’s public relations handler Joseph Sabiiti is seen in pictures making rounds on social media pleading with OPM officials to accept the pieces of iron sheets.

However, the officials are hesitant in fear of serious reprisals as the matter is currently criminal in nature with prosecutions pending.

Ms. Anita Among is one of the implicated top brass government officials named in the diversion of the iron sheets meant for the karachunas in Karamoja region.

In his letter to the Prime Minister, Gen. Museveni ordered the CID to take over the matter and have all involved government officials prosecuted.
